Aston Villa: Analyzing the potential outgoing transfers in January
By Josh Tonti
CM – Aaron Tshibola (Permanent or Loan)
The Birmingham Mail reports Aston Villa will look to offload Aaron Tshibola in January. The 22-year old midfielder returned to B6 after Milton Keynes Dons cut his season-long loan approximately seven months early. In London, Tshibola was playing regularly, but apparently not well, according to Dons supporters.
A £5 million summer 2016 acquisition by Robert Di Matteo, Tshibola is at a crossroads in his very early career. His athletic gifts and promising (very small sample size) half-dozen Villa appearances have thus far been undone by a freezing-out by Steve Bruce and unsuccessful League One loan spell.
Aston Villa could cut their losses and accept a £1 or £2 million bid from a fellow second or third division side. Or, the club can fancy another loan move in hoped Tshibola develops further, thus improving his transfer value next summer. In any case, Tish looks unlikely to feature at Aston Villa the rest of the season, but stranger things have happened.
