22. Barnsley

Key Players: LB – Ezekiel Fryers, CF – Tom Bradshaw

Sorry, Barnsley, but after having your squad ripped apart, you will find it tough to survive.

Here is a list of players Barnsley have lost over the last twelve months: Alfie Mawson, Sam Winnall, James Bree, Conor Hourihane, Marley Watkins, Josh Scowen, Jack Cowgill, Marc Roberts, and many others.

Former Crystal Palace fullback Zeke Fryers and former Southampton fullback Jason McCarthy will man the wide areas.

23. Millwall

Key Players: CF – Lee Gregory, CF – Aiden O’Brien

Millwall simply don’t have enough talent to make a run in the second division. Many of their summer signings include players from the lower echelons of English football, like James Meredith from Bradford City.

It will be interesting to watch if Millwall’s multiple forwards return a similar goal return after a division jump.

24. Burton Albion

Key Players: LB – Stephen Warnock, RW – Lloyd Dyer

Let me preface this prediction by saying there is no Rotherham United in the league anymore. In that sense, the bottom spot should be competitive; even against the league’s top clubs.

However, Burton do not have a lot to be excited about. Lloyd Dyer is the club’s most notable player and he is now 34 years of age.

Elsewhere, Northern Ireland international Matty Lund comes from Rochdale and former Villa man Stephen Warnock left relegated Wigan. It could be two in two years for the English left back.
