3. GK – Guillermo Ochoa, 31, Málaga
Everyone remembers Ochoa’s performance during the 2014 World Cup.
His club situation since has been a mess. Ochoa moved to Malaga following the World Cup, but failed to make his presence felt in three years with just nineteen appearances in that span.
As such, Guillermo Ochoa spent the 2016/2017 season with fellow La Liga side, Granada.
They promptly finished last with 20 points accumulated in 38 matches. Ochoa’s loan ended, but so too did his three-year deal with Malaga.
Aston Villa and Steve Bruce could do far worse than bring-in Mexico’s number one goalkeeper on a free transfer. As always, global passports and the U.K. work permit can cause hiccups in player movement.
