Let’s piece together the perfect Aston Villa summer as the club prepares for another year in England’s second division.

Aston Villa may or may not have a tight budget in which to operate the transfer market this summer. Regardless of this fact, several fringe players should be sold to streamline the squad.

This should in turn raise capital to add more quality in a few missing places.

Manager Steve Bruce is said to be looking for a return of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, more defensive depth, a defensive midfielder, at least one winger, and possibly a new number nine.
