1. André Green, 18, winger

We covered it here before, but André Green is the real deal, and the best in his age group. Green’s fifteen total first team appearances this season by far lead the club (for those under the age of twenty).

Green’s combination of pace, power, and shooting ability make him a quality goal threat from range. It is only a matter of time before he scores his first for Aston Villa.

Recently, Steve Bruce has used the eighteen-year old winger as a defensive replacement late in matches. Another testament to Green’s football maturity.

Hopefully these five follow in the footsteps of past Villa academy greats: Gareth Barry, Daniel Sturridge, Jack Grealish, Steven Davis, Gary Cahill, Marc Albrighton, and many more.
