1. Jordan Amavi, LB, 23

Jordan Amavi qualifies for this list on a number of reasons. Firstly, transfer rumors have followed him ever since last summer. Villa owner Dr. Tony Xia made it expressly clear that he turned down a £20 million + offer for Amavi before the window closed.

Amavi, to his credit, has rebounded nicely since a horrific knee injury cut short his maiden Premier League season. Aston Villa really stumbled after losing Amavi in late October; the club relied Aly Cissokho to man the left back position against superior competition.

However, since early February, Steve Bruce has turned to Neil Taylor at the position. Jordan Amavi had had to settle for substitute appearances and starts on the left wing. Villa executives may attempt to cash-in Amavi to help supplement other reinforcements.

The Frenchman should fetch a hefty price in the transfer market, even if the sum is nowhere close to the reported £20 million. Amavi is still only 23 and approaching two years removed from cruciate ligament surgery.
