Who’s in and who’s out for Aston Villa? Only a handful of days remain in the January transfer window and Dr. Tony Xia and company may have some tricks up their sleeves.
Swansea City pair Neil Taylor and Modou Barrow piqued Steve Bruce’s interest. With the departure of Aly Cissokho, Villa remain extremely light in the left back department. It just so happens Taylor lost his starting spot after Swansea transferred in Martin Olsson from Norwich City.
Jordan Amavi is currently the only senior left back in the Villa squad so any injury to him would represent a big blow tactically for Steve Bruce.
Mo Barrow is 24-year old international footballer for Gambia. If the name sounds familiar, Barrow was the winger who tore it up on Bob Bradley’s debut at Swansea City. Right now all of this is talk; no deal is in place as of yet, but the pair do make for intriguing options for the claret and blue.
The Birmingham Mail writes Villa would be willing to let Jordan Ayew leave as compensation to the Welsh side.

Jack Grealish’s father wrote on Facebook, that his son is unequivocally not leaving for Middlesbrough.
There wasn’t much to that rumor aside from Grealish being a good player Boro would want plus Jordan Rhodes being a wanted man by Steve Bruce and staff.
Aston Villa readied a third bid for Bury central defender Jacob Bedeau.
Bedeau, 17, has made a handful of starts for the League One side at such an incredibly young age. Born in 1999, Bedeau only recently turned 17 – he was given his debut at 16 in a league match against Millwall.
Aston Villa saw their first bid of £750,000 rejected earlier in the month, but are said to be adding incentives and add-ons into a fresh bid.
From the Mail, Villa beat Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool to his signature should the two sides come to an equitable agreement.
Lastly, Dr. Xia continues to enamor us with excellent math skills: One or two more signings may take place before the end of the window.
