CDM – Mile Jedinak, 32

The Aussie reclaims his spot shielding the back line from danger. Jedinak, who will play at the base of this 4-3-3, will flourish with a pair of creative and mobile forces ahead of him.

As a result, this old man will be able to keep playing the remaining league matches.

CM – Henri Lansbury, 26

Nottingham Forest accepted Aston Villa’s £3.5 million bid for their club captain. Lansbury immediately slots into Villa’s central midfield, just ahead of Jedinak.

Lansbury offers the club a mobile destroyer, one capable of covering for his Australian friend. Moreover, Lansbury ends up bagging a couple league goals as well!

CAM – Conor Hourihane, 25

Wow! Aston Villa have a £2 million bid from Barnsley accepted as the Ireland international’s contract runs our in the summer. Villa offer to quadruple his wages, resulting in Hourihane choosing the claret and blue over a half-dozen other clubs.

Hourihane pulls the string in the midfield. He will link the midfield and fullbacks to the front three where Aston Villa lead the league in goals after January 31st. At 25, Hourihane comes to Aston Villa at his peak where he brings many years of joy to the club’s faithful.
