GK – Sam Johnstone, 23
No change here. The new loan signing from Manchester United tops our goalkeeping depth chart. In two brief Villa matches, Johnstone has proven two things: 1. He is a solid shot-stopper who is confident with his feet & 2. He is not that much of an improvement over Pierluigi Gollini.
Nonetheless, we begin our lineup with Sam Johnstone.
