#Deadline Day has begun and for Aston Villa, a handful of players seem destined for loan moves. Moreover, Roberto Di Matteo seeks to strengthen his squad for a promotion push.

DONE DEAL: Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah joins on a permanent deal from Middlesbrough.

The twenty-eight year old winger reportedly joins on a three-year contract in the price range of £5 million pounds. Adomah brings a different attacking aspect to this Villa squad. He is adept at using both feet and can cut in from either side of the pitch. His age certainly does not make him a spring chicken, but he is of the quality and experience to help Robert Di Matteo right away.

Surprisingly enough, club owner Tony Xia announced the deal on his personal account whilst the official Aston Villa Twitter account has remained silent thus far. Perhaps something to keep an eye on as maybe part of the negotiations went sour.

RUMOR 1: In a separate deal with Middlesbrough, it seems likely Adama Traoré will complete his move away from Aston Villa. After expressing his feelings with the chairman, the club found it suitable to move on from the talented winger. Reports indicate his contract may include a relegation release clause. I’d expect the fee to be in the range of Albert Adomah’s transfer tag.

RUMOR 2: Rushian Hepburn-Murphy seems destined to join League One side Coventry City on loan.

The eighteen year old could receive his first taste of extended professional football. The youngster made two appearances with Tim Sherwood back in the spring of 2015. At sixteen, he became the youngest player to feature for Aston Villa in the Premier League era.

More from Claret Villans

I’m absolutely huge on Hepburn-Murphy. I think he could feature in this Villa squad for the entire season. A bit surprising that fellow youngster André Green finds the team sheet more often than Hepburn-Murphy.

RUMOR 3: Micah Richards may or may not be in London completing a medical. Word is West Ham United want him on loan for the season. Earlier in the summer this would have been a welcomed move, but concerns remain about a lack of cover in the center-half position. Behind Elphick, Chester, and Baker not much remains after Okore & Clark transfers and a Kevin Toner loan move.
