Tommy Elphick has a part to play at Aston Villa

The sight of Tommy Elphick celebrating the victory at Middlesborough was heartening for Aston Villa fans everywhere. His inclusion was, according to Bruce, due to sickness of other players.  Elphick took the opportunity with both hands.  Suddenly, John Terry’s injury comeback is less critical.

If Bruce considers his options, he has three centre backs who he can depend upon.  Elphick has always been passionate about playing for the club.  Terry has massive experience that will be vital if (when?) we are fighting for promotion at the end of the season.  Chester has been consistent all season.
